The Village Church
The Village Church, based out of Nolensville, TN, has a mission to help ordinary people become disciples of Jesus and equip them to change the world. Originally a small community of people meeting in members’ living rooms, The Village gained its first physical meeting space conducive to worship gatherings – a middle school gymnasium –in 2016. Most recently, in 2021, The Village established a permanent presence in the community through a brand new building with state-of-the-art AVL systems, effective and engaging worship spaces, and room for expansion. Despite very humble beginnings, The Village has transformed into a well-known and highly-respected institution in the Nolensville area with a powerful and positive presence in the community.

The
Objective
Prior to contracting with CTS, The Village was a portable church – like many others across the country – that would hold its Sunday services in a junior high gymnasium. The AVL systems that were used each weekend were stored in a trailer; each Sunday, The Village team would unload all of the equipment, set it up for their services, and then pack the systems back into the trailer immediately afterward. This temporary space offered limited capacity and was not ideal for creating an engaging worship atmosphere on a weekly basis. After three years of using this process, The Village decided it was time to construct its first church building. After interviewing several candidates for the project, The Village leadership team chose CTS as their design-build partner for the AVL & acoustics scope.

The
Results
As a result of our work with The Village, the congregation has had a permanent location to gather each Sunday for nearly a year. The integration team at CTS worked with building architects, general contractors, and the internal production team at The Village to provide technical functionality, workflow, aesthetics, and an overall worship environment that met the client’s desires and vision. Throughout the design process, we were able to help The Village stay within their financial limits and complete the project on time by providing a master-planned approach to design and a strategic schedule of installation phases. Although it’s been some time since project completion, The Village is still extremely satisfied with the quality of work provided by the CTS integration team. Today, The Village can consistently offer a comfortable and inviting worship environment with ample space for congregational growth and greater opportunities for community events and ministry. It was a pleasure to be a part of this exciting project and we look forward to seeing the growth that follows this milestone at The Village Church.
