YoungLife is a non-profit organization whose goal is to bring young children and adolescents to Christ. The ministry’s mission is three-fold: to help kids build personal relationships with Christ; to provide fun, life-changing experiences; and to collaborate with likeminded adults to build better communities. The 1YL event occurs every four years and gathers YoungLife staff to celebrate, worship, teach, and empower all leaders.
The mission of 1YL is to bring together all YoungLife staff to connect and grow through worship and education. This weeklong, quadrennial conference includes guest speakers, bible studies, and workshops, as well as celebrations of previous years’ accomplishments and a preview of the organization’s next four years. CTS was recruited to (1) design all audio and video systems and (2) deploy all audio, video, and lighting in the event’s venue, a unique in-the-round arena: the Anaheim Convention Center.

While it had been four years since CTS had last produced this event, our team had been preparing for this 2024 event for two years. Through various rigging redesigns, CTS worked tirelessly to create systems that would align with the client’s vision. Because the convention was hosted in a in-the-round arena, every attendee – whether on the floor or in the last row of seats – received the same high-quality audiovisual experience. Through relentless preparation and diligent AV design & implementation, CTS created an immersive and engaging environment for YoungLife staff and ultimately exceeded expectations for the overall execution of the project.
